Heat Treat 2000 offers a comprehensive range of heat treatment processes for ferrous metals. Our specialist team and modern furnace equipment ensure consistent, high-quality results for steel and iron components.

Our Ferrous Metal Processes

Metal Hardening & Tempering

Hardening increases the hardness and strength of steel by heating to the austenitising temperature and quenching. Tempering follows to reduce brittleness and achieve the desired balance of hardness and toughness.

Continuous Carburising

Carburising introduces carbon into the surface layer of low-carbon steel components, creating a hard surface case while maintaining a tough core. Our continuous mesh belt furnaces offer high throughput for production volumes.

Continuous Carbonitriding

Carbonitriding introduces both carbon and nitrogen into the component surface, producing a hard case with improved wear and fatigue resistance compared to carburising alone.

Stress Relieving

Stress relieving reduces residual internal stresses in components caused by machining, welding or forming, without significantly affecting hardness or mechanical properties.
